What dignity looks like in practice

On offering support that leaves people in charge of their own choices.

Dignity is easy to write about and harder to practise. In everyday terms it means asking before assuming, offering choices instead of packages, and never making someone prove they deserve help.

It also means care with stories and photographs: shared only with permission, and in a way people would be proud to see.

We do not always get it right. But it is the standard we hold ourselves to.
